Local Area & Places to Visit

The village of Earl Sterndale is home to the 'Famous' Quiet Woman Pub.  It is also set in the heart of the Peak District close to The River Dove, Chrome Hill, Parkhouse & Roundhill which are fantastic walking areas.  The nearest village shop & post office are located approx 2-3 miles away in the village of Longnor.  Public transport is available in the village of Earl Sterndale.

Other local villages include Hartington famous for its 'Stilton Cheese'.  The village of Castleton famous for the Blue John Stone, Speedwell Cavern & Peveril Castle.  Local Market towns are Bakewell, Buxton & Ashbourne. 

Other local attractions include Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall which are approx 20 minutes drive away.
